After each use. Remember, never use solvents, alcohol or other aggressive substances. Lukewarm water and a non-abrasive sponge will be perfect.
We recommend you use an Electrolux descaling solution. This can be purchased from Harvey Norman or any Electrolux stockist. Remember, never use vinegar to descale your machine. Your EspressGo machine will need descaling every 2-3 months, depending on your water hardness, or whenever you notice a reduction in water flow. Refer to your machine manual and descaling solution pack for instructions.
A pressure safety device prevents you from handling the portafilter if the EspressGo button is no in the correct position. If the safety ring is visible, you will not be able to open the machine. Depress the STOP button fully so the safety ring can't be seen. Once your EspressGo is no longer under pressure, you can open the portafilter.

Make sure the cigarette lighter plug is fully plugged in and the logo on your EspressGo plug is illuminated. If this does not resolve the issue, check that the 12v cigarette lighter plug is powered. Your vehicle must be able to power the 12V socket properly.
Check that you have an O-ring and that it is positioned correctly on the capsule holder. If it is faulty (dry, cracked, damaged or cut) or if you don't have one, you can get one from your retailer. Also make sure you close the portafilter tightly up to the locking indicators.
Your EspressGo is fitted with a safety device blocking the use of the ESPRESSO button if the machine is not turned over. Make sure the portafilter is tightly closed up to the locking indicators. Flip the machine around so the portafilter is above the cup. Then fully depress the ESPRESSO button..

You may not have enough water in the reservoir. Make sure you fill the reservoir up to the recommended water level line.
Wait until the ON button is lit continuously (not flashing) and until the machine has bleeped 3 times before preparing your espresso. Water continues to heat after the machine stops making noise. You can monitor the water heating on the thermometer.
